【摘要】:Samplingofbulkshipmentsofcarbonblacksisofutmostimportancesincethelocationandnumberofsamplestakenbydifferentlaboratoriescanhaveasignificanteffectontheagreementoftestvaluesobtained.Thispracticeisforuseinobtainingrepresentativesamplesofcarbonblackineachcompartmentorintheentirehoppercarorhoppertruck.Thesesamplesmaybeusedtoascertaintheaveragequalityortheuniformityofashipment,orboth.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforthesamplinganddatareportingofbulkshipmentsofcarbonblackinthree-compartmenthopperrailcarsandcompartmentedbulkhoppertrailers.Note1-Theteststobemadeonthesamplesobtainedbythispractice,howmanysamplesaretaken,wheretheyaretaken,andwhatstatisticalvalues(ifany)toreportshallbedeterminedbyagreementbetweenthepurchaserandthemanufacturer.Thispracticegivesguidanceforuseindevelopingsuchagreementsorforusewhennoformalagreementexists.ThespecificdetailsofeachprocedurearedescribedinappropriateASTMtestmethodsusedfortestingcarbonblack.Note2-SomepurchasersormanufacturersmayconsiderFlexibleIntermediateBulkContainers(FIBC)tobeabulkshipment.SeePracticeD1799forguidanceonsamplingandreportingforthispackage.12.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
